Our Story

Thread Theory began with a dream—some 25 years ago when we left everything to immigrate to the U.S. What started as quiet hopes has now become something tangible: a modern tailoring studio built on family, resilience, and craftsmanship.

As a mother-daughter team, this shop is more than a business—it’s a celebration of what we’ve carried with us across generations and oceans. After decades of sewing for her community, Mom finally has the space to share her talents on her own terms. And as her daughter, I’m proud to bring my business background into the fold to help bring that vision to life.

We opened Thread Theory to create something thoughtful, creative, and deeply personal—a place where garments are treated with care, clients are treated with kindness, and every piece tells a story.

Our Mission

To provide expert, high-quality tailoring with outstanding service in a welcoming, modern space—delivering garments that fit beautifully and leave clients feeling confident and cared for.

Our Values

  • Expertise

Decades of hands-on experience guide everything we do. From wedding gowns to everyday wear, we approach each piece with deep technical knowledge and a tailor’s intuition.

  • Creativity

Tailoring isn’t just about fit—it’s about vision. We help reimagine, restyle, and even recreate garments so they reflect your style and needs.

  • Client Connection

We care about the people behind the pieces. That means listening, asking the right questions, and making sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

  • Attention to Detail

Every thread matters. From fit to finish, we focus on the fine points that make a garment feel like it was made just for you.

  • Integrity

We’re honest, consistent, and transparent. Whether it’s what a garment needs, how long it’ll take, or how much it costs—you can trust us to be upfront and fair.
