What types of garments do you alter?
We work on everything from everyday clothing to formalwear, including wedding dresses, suits, gowns, pants, skirts, jackets, and more. We also offer alterations for household items and custom garments.
-
Do you offer custom garments?
Yes! We can design and create custom pieces or replicate a garment you already own in a different fabric or style. We’ve even made Halloween costumes for past clients!
Consult with our lead seamstress in person or online to make your garment dreams a reality.
-
Can you alter garments made of delicate or specialty fabrics?
Yes—we work with a wide range of fabrics including silk, lace, leather, velvet, denim, knits, and beaded or embellished materials. Delicate garments may require more time and care.
-
Do you work on men's and women's clothing?
Yes! We tailor and alter clothing for all genders, including suits, pants, shirts, dresses, and outerwear.
-
Do you offer minor repairs or quick fixes?
Yes! We handle everything from quick fixes to full reconstructions. No job is too small.
Some small jobs can be done on the spot.
-
Do you sell fabric or sewing supplies?
Not at this time, but we’re happy to advise you on fabric selection for custom projects.
-
How much do alterations cost?
Pricing depends on the garment and type of work. Visit our services page for the starting price of our most common services but the price for each garment will vary.
Our seamstress will provide the exact pricing after the fitting or seeing the garment.
Special Occasion & Bridal
-
Do you work on wedding dresses?
Yes! We specialize in bridal and formal alterations, including bodice adjustments, hems, custom bustles, strap adjustments, and embellishments.
-
When should I bring in my wedding dress?
We recommend coming in 6–8 weeks before your event as we might need multiple fittings to arrive at the perfect fit.
Rush options are available for last-minute alterations.
-
Do you work on prom and formal dresses?
Yes! We specialize in prom, bridesmaid, gala, and other formalwear alterations. Whether it's adjusting the length, bodice, straps, or adding a slit—we can help you feel your best for your big night.
-
Can you alter and tailor suits?
Yes! We tailor men’s and women’s suits—adjusting length, waist, seat, tapering jackets, shortening sleeves (with or without functional buttons), & more!
-
Do you work on garments with built-in boning, padding, or heavy embellishments?
Yes, we have experience working with structured gowns and heavily embellished pieces. These may require additional time and pricing will depend on complexity.
Appointments & Process
-
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome! If you would like dedicated time and attention, feel free to schedule an appointment by calling or emailing us. Any virtual fittings will require an appointment.
For wedding dresses and more complex items, we will arrange an appointment for you to come in for a fitting.
-
How long will my alterations take?
Most everyday alterations are ready in 2-5 days. Complex jobs may take longer, and same-day/rush service is available for additional cost.
-
Do you offer same-day or rush services?
Yes. Rush and same-day options are available at an additional cost. Call ahead to check availability.
-
How do virtual alterations work?
If you are not able to visit our store, you can schedule a video call with our seamstress to do a virtual fitting.
Then ship or drop off the item (including an item that fits well will help). We’ll complete the work and coordinate return shipping or pickup.
Video consultation is $10 for every 15 minutes. First 15 minutes need to be paid before the appointment. If you choose to continue with the service, we will apply the cost of the video consultation to the final order cost.
-
How do I pay for the service?
Full payment is due when the order is made, unless noted otherwise. You can pay via cash, debit or credit card, or venmo.
If additional payments are needed, that can be done when the order is picked up.
-
How will I know when my order is ready?
At drop-off, our seamstress will provide an estimated completion date and print a receipt for your records. You’ll receive a text message when your order is ready for pickup or if any follow-up is needed during the process.
-
Can you provide a quote before starting the work?
Yes. Quotes are free and can be provided during your visit or virtual consultation. Final pricing depends on the garment and the complexity of the work.
Policies & Satisfaction
-
What if I’m not satisfied with the fit?
We’re so sorry to hear that! We want to make sure your garment fits perfectly.
We offer complimentary adjustments within 7 days of pickup if you’re not happy with the fit.
-
What can I do if I'm happy with the results?
We love making our customers happy! If you are satisfied with the result, please leave us a review on Google and Yelp and tell friends and family.
We are a small business so any support is greatly appreciated!
-
What is your refund policy?
Because alterations are customized, all sales are final. However, we’re committed to making sure you’re satisfied with the result so if there are any issues please come back and we will make the necessary changes/adjustments.
-
What happens if I don’t pick up my item?
We’ll send you a reminder if your item hasn’t been picked up within a few days of completion. After 60 days with no response, unclaimed items may be donated or repurposed.
